I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in June of 2007. I did 6 months of chemotherapy and 2 1/2 weeks of radiation. At which point I was cancer free!!!! In November of 2010 I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. After several months of blood transfusions and extreme chemotherapy sessions I was placed on a list to recieve a Bone Marrow Transplant. March 31st, 2011, I received the gift of life from a wonderful anonymous woman that I hope to meet one day!!

It's that time again
I just called my nurses and my white blood count is good for Chemo tomorrow. I'm very excited that having 7 days versus 10 days of Nuprogen shots worked out. The less I can get poked the better!! I also got news that my grandfather is going to be flying from Tennessee for my birthday. Not much else is going on right now. I just wanted to drop in and tell everyone the good news. It's almost time to pick the girls up from school.

Hope chemo goes well tomorrow!! I take chemo pills (methotrexate) every day but lately I'm not on any infusions or spinal chemo.. I had a bone marrow transplant so far my cancer is pretty stable. So hopefully just the oral for awhile! Crossing my fingers for tomorrow!
