IT'S TIME

It's official. I have my first chemo treatment in the morning!

I'm not gonna lie, I'm really nervous. Probably won't sleep very well tonight. To be honest, I havn't been sleeping very well the last couple nights. I go through my phases....a couple good nights and then several bad nights. Please chemo don't waste anytime killing this cancer :)

On a different note, did anyone else watch Hell's Kitchen tonight? I can't believe that Chef Ramsay moved Melissa to the men's team. Gotta love when a twist is thrown into the game.

It's time for me to hit the sack. Thanks again for all your comments. I would love to hear how everyone is spending their 4th of July??? Any big plans???

xo :)

You are just starting your journey when I am just finishing and I want to wish you well. I have been in contact with Kelly a lot during the past 6 months and the blog have really helped.
Hope your first Chemo was OK and I wish you and you family all the best.
We decided to be straight with our kids and they have been great, a few tears on the way, but I am so very proud of them. If you need to talk, contact me via my blog.
Thanks
Chris

Jane,
More than likely you don't remember me, I am your mom's cousin Karen. My Dad is Pat Runions.
You mom emailed me and filled me in on what is going on and I want you to know that you are in my prayers daily. You WILL beat this, you have some strong angel's Heaven looking over you.
Hugs to you
Karen Richartz
PS. I love your new hair cut, you made me cry when you said taylor was saving her hair for you. Give her a big hug.

Hey Jane,
I hope everything goes good for you this morning, and I hope the book helps pass the time! If you need more, I have a ton of books. What are you doing for the 4th? If you are up to it, we are just staying home and BBQing. You, Josh and the kids can come. The fireworks go off at the baseball field a block down, so we should be able to see them pretty good. Well maybe I'll talk to you later, if you're feeling okay.

Wow, they don't waste anytime getting you started on chemo!! Hopefully your onc gave you some good scripts for drugs to help you thru chemo - I took ativan, zofran, decadron, and compazine - and never threw up once :) If you got decadron you might have a lot of energy today after chemo - because you're all hopped up on steriods! :) I hope everything goes smoothly, please let me know if you need to chat or have any questions, you have my number too!

As for the 4th, I'm on Block Island, so I'll be going to the parade tomorrow -- the fireworks are tonight, so me and my fam will go to a friends house near the beach to watch them. Should be a good time, I'll of couse post pictures - I'm off to the beach (with my spf 50) shortly.

Take Care!
Kelly

Hi Jane,
I was suprised and saddened to hear what you are going through. I just want you to know one of my best friends was diagnosed with Hodgkins about 4 years ago. He went through the chemo and tried to keep his spirits high. As of today he is cancer free. I know you can beat this too. Positive thoughts and determination is half the battle and you sound like you have both. All our love, strength, and prayers go out to you from Illinois.

Jane-

Remember I am here if you need anything even just hand to hold. You are a very special person and a wonderful friend. You are in all of our prayers. Josh, Mark, and Joey all send their love. Mom says if you need her she will be there for you as she was going through the chemo just a few years ago. Stephen sends his love from Santa Cruz.

Love you always,
Kellie

Hi Jane,

You don't know me, but I am following your journey and am sending you peaceful, healing thoughts. May this journey be one of discovery and hope. Keep your eye on goal and know that you are being cheered on from far away. Be gentle with yourself and hang in there.

Dear Jane,

Man, we just finally started looking at our email. A bit of a shock. You are SO in our thoughts. We hope your first treatment went reasonably well today. It seems a bit lame, but please let us know if there is anything we can do for you up here -- "long distance".

We wish there was something more we could add to all the wonderful messages you are receiving. If "positive thoughts" can provide beneficial energy, you are receiving it! We've forwarded this to Kent too.

The Fourth -- Well, we plan to be homebodies and enjoy the back yard - still having fun with the plants and the birds that come in. Getting too crowded to go out!

We will continue to hold you, Josh, Taylor, and Hailey ... and your Mom and Dad ... in our thoughts. Please take care and be strong! Jeri and Fred

Not a day has gone by since I heard the news that I don't think about you. I know it's been way too long since we've seen or even talked, but if there is ever anything you need please don't hesitate. I am praying for you to get through this with as little pain or discomfort as possible. My best goes out to you and Josh and the girls. I hope you all grow stronger as a family as you endure this life trial. Take care and find strength in all those that are here for you.

XOXOXO
Marcia
